The EXCELerator team worked with more than 20 school districts nationwide to increase the college readiness of all students — with a special focus on the underserved. The EXCELerator program developed the District Diagnostic tool, an exhaustive analysis of a district's capacity to ensure college readiness for all students.
The College Board's EXCELerator Schools launched in 2006 as a school-based, comprehensive college readiness system model with funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. EXCELerator Schools partnered with secondary schools districts across the country to help underrepresented student groups enter the pipeline to higher education.
