Tim Moses, Chief Psychometrician at the College Board, has been named the first Robert L. Brennan Chair of Psychometric Research. He considers the position to be a great honor and an important opportunity for College Board to promote Brennan’s contributions to College Board assessments.
“Holding this Chair position is an acknowledgement of Dr. Brennan’s invaluable role as psychometric advisor to me personally, and to the College Board,” says Moses.
Brennan is the E. F. Lindquist Chair in measurement and testing, emeritus, at the University of Iowa College of Education. He has made a lasting mark on the field of education over his almost 50 years of service. Brennan came to UI in 1994 after working with American College Testing for 18 years in various capacities, including as Assistant Vice President for Measurement Research and Distinguished Research Scientist.
During his time at the University of Iowa College of Education, Brennan served as the director of the Iowa Testing Programs and founding director of the Center for Advanced Studies in Measurement and Assessment (CASMA).
