UC partners with College Board on All In

The University of California will partner with the College Board this year to better prepare low-income and underrepresented California high school students for college success. These efforts include expanding the numbers of such students who take the PSAT/NMSQT, a standardized pre-college entrance exam.

For the first time ever, the College Board has released combined results from three of its programs – PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, and Advanced Placement Program® (AP®). The national and state-level results paint a more complete picture of student progress during high school, showing missed opportunities for just-graduated students and areas where action can be taken to improve student outcomes for those still in high school.
The Redesigned SAT

The 2014 Inside Higher Ed Survey of College and University Admissions Directors, released on Sept. 18, explores perspectives and opinions of campus admission and enrollment leaders on a range of issues. The results of the survey show that 91 percent of admission directors said that their institution favors the changes the College Board is making to the SAT®. A similar majority, 92 percent, said that their institution favors the College Board’s decision to revise the essay portion of the SAT.

Access & Diversity Collaborative

The College Board’s Access & Diversity Collaborative has partnered with the American Council on Education’s Center for Policy Research and Strategy on a new survey study to examine how legal challenges to race-conscious admissions have changed contemporary admissions practices at selective colleges and universities.
