AP District of the Year Celebration

During this afternoon’s plenary, we had the chance to honor educators and students that exemplify this passion through the 9th Annual Advanced Placement® District of the Year Award

It’s fitting that the 2019 AP Annual Conference is happening at the most magical place on earth…because there is a lot to celebrate! This year’s conference is abuzz with enthusiastic and engaging educators sharing best practices, stories, and ways to transform our educational landscape. During this afternoon’s plenary, we had the chance to honor educators and students that exemplify this passion through the 9th Annual Advanced Placement® District of the Year Award. Fenton Community High School District 100 in Illinois (Small District of the Year), Moreno Valley Unified in California (Medium District of the Year), and Katy Independent School District in Texas (Large District of the Year) stood out among the 373 districts named to this year’s AP Honor Roll for expanding participation and increasing student performance.

Three students from these winning districts joined us for the plenary to share their love for AP and its influence on their trajectories. Listen to their stories and learn more about these incredible education communities here:
