PowerFAIDS Celebrates a Succesful Year Supporting the Financial Aid Process

The College Board is proud to announce that ten new institutions have licensed PowerFAIDS this year, with another dozen-plus schools expanding their use of PowerFAIDS.

It has been 25 years since the College Board first introduced PowerFAIDS—a comprehensive financial aid management system built by financial aid professionals for financial aid professionals that revolutionized the financial aid automation process.

The system enables financial aid professionals to focus on the most important part of their role: students. PowerFAIDS helps with automation and compliance leaving more time for staff to counsel students.

The College Board is proud to announce that ten new institutions have licensed PowerFAIDS this year, with another dozen-plus schools expanding their use of PowerFAIDS.

PowerFAIDS is flexible enough to meet the needs of any financial aid office—large or small, public, private, or professional. Schools that have newly licensed or increased their use of PowerFAIDS this year include:

  • Blessing-Reiman College of Nursing & Health Sciences (IL)
  • Denison University (OH)
  • DigiPen Institute of Technology (WA)
  • Louisburg College (NC)
  • Missouri Baptist University (MO)
  • Tufts University (MA)

Laura Meek, director of financial aid at Denison, shared how the university uses the tool. “PowerFAIDS is modernizing our financial aid processes and incorporating them into our coordinated enrollment management model,” said Meek. “Conveniently, PowerFAIDS will also integrate with our admission CRM. I'm excited to see what PowerFAIDS will do for us.”

Indeed PowerFAIDS connects easily with other campus systems, with a robust set of import/export routines and real-time application programming interfaces (APIs).  PowerFAIDS’ timely updates also provide institutions with critical functionality when it is most needed, including support for Federal Methodology and Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) processing on October 1.

College Board is building on the legacy of PowerFAIDS Desktop by combining state of the art technology with best in class functionality to offer financial aid professionals PowerFAIDS Cloud, coming to colleges and universities soon.

PowerFAIDS Cloud expands on existing functionality by offering responsive design that keeps aid professionals and students connected from their desktop or mobile devices, support for flexible and non-term enrollment programs, seamless integration with CSS Profile and IDOC, and more. PowerFAIDS Cloud will simplify technology management by shifting software management, availability and security responsibilities away from campus staff.
