#Weneedyourlight: College Board Partners with HALI Access NetworkCollege Board Communications
The College Board is pleased to partner with the HALI Access Network, comprised of NGOs and schools working across Africa to connect high-achieving, low-income students with opportunities in higher education. We will be providing SAT, SAT Subject Test, and CSS Profile fee offsets for students supported by organizations in the HALI Access Network. Last month, the College Board introduced the #weneedyourlight campaign, and announced our contribution of $100,000 to the African Leadership Academy (ALA), a member of the HALI Access Network. This contribution builds on the support that the schools and organizations on the ground already provide to students in selecting, applying, and funding college and university. Taking this comprehensive approach will ensure that talented students with demonstrated need have the greatest likelihood of successfully accessing higher education opportunities.
Nearly 400 universities and scholarship programs use the CSS Profile to award aid. A complete list of participating universities can be found here.
The SAT and SAT Subject Tests are used to apply to universities in the U.S. and around the world.
