Member Eligibility Requirements
To become and remain a member of the College Board, an organization must:
- Be elected by the current membership
- Maintain accreditation, if applicable
- Adhere to a policy of nondiscrimination
- Use or encourage the use of one or more College Board programs or services
- Pay annual dues of $400
Demonstrate and Maintain Accreditation
When an application is submitted for membership, accreditation is validated through a process of due diligence. If the accreditation is lacking or lapses, the application is deferred until accreditation is established or reestablished. A list of the accrediting bodies accepted by the College Board can be found on the application form itself.
Adhere to a Policy of Nondiscrimination
Our members believe passionately in a level playing field for all students. To that end, an integral part of being accepted for and maintaining membership in the College Board is the commitment to a policy of nondiscrimination. Our members maintain policies and practices that assure equitable access to admission, receipt of financial aid, and continuing enrollment for all students. We recognize the right of an educational organization to define its mission in terms of educating persons of the same gender or of a particular religious faith as long as all persons of that gender or particular religious faith are treated equitably.
Pay a Low Dues Rate for a High Return
Membership dues are $400 annually. For this fee, all professionals at a member organization receive member benefits.
Application: Next Steps
Applications Are Accepted All Year Long!
New members are officially elected at the Annual Meeting of the Members in November of each year. An organization with an application under review for membership is provided pending member status. Pending members enjoy most of the rights and privileges of members including member rates. Pending members cannot vote.
Please note that new members are not billed until November of each year, after their formal election at the Forum.
